NiMet: Cloudy, Sunny, Hazy Weather To Prevail On Wednesday

The Nigerian Meteoroligical Agency (NiMet) has predicted partly cloudy and sunny weather conditions over the central states of the country on Wednesday.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO), on Tuesday in Abuja, also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 28 to 36 and 12 to 22 degrees celsius.

The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy morning with day and night temperatures in the range of 31 to 34 and 20 to 25 degrees celsius.

It also predicted prospect of localised thunderstorms over Umuahia and Owerri, as well as coastal areas of Ikom, Uyo, Calabar, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Ijebu-Ode and Lagos during the afternoon and evening hours.

According to NiMet, northern states will experience sunny and hazy condition throughout the forecast period, with day and night temperatures in the range of 33 to 38 and 15 to 24 degrees celsius.

It added that “`northern cities are expected to be sunny and hazy, partly cloudy and sunny condition over the central states.

“However, southern cities are expected to be cloudy with chances of localised thunderstorms in most parts of the region in the next 24 hours.” (NAN)
