The Senate has placed one of its members on suspension after discovering a mismanagement of funds in the tune of N70million.
Briefing journalists after reaching a decision on the lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani from Kaduna State said the money meant for Northern Senators was mismanaged by Sen. Adamu hence, the decision of suspension by the house.
Adamu, 72 was Nasarawa State Governor from 1999 to 2007 and is one of the political bigwigs from the North in the eighth(8th) National Assembly.
Sen. Adamu is yet to react to his suspension.
