Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has reacted to an accusation that she owes singer Zlatan Ibile money for the recording of one of her hit songs ‘Galato’.
Popularly known as DJ Cuppy, the DJ-cum-singer revealed in a tweet on Monday that she had filed a lawsuit against Afeare Israel a.k.a Israel DMW for claiming that she did not fulfill her financial obligation to Zlatan for his contribution to the song.
Cuppy denied breaching her contract agreement regarding the recording of ‘Gelato’ which was confirmed by her lawyers.
She said “However, since IsrealDMW publicly and inaccurately said im owing artist Zlatan money, I will sue him for libel and defamation,” adding “See you in court Isreal”.
In a follow up tweet, Cuppy said: “…I’m not allowed to answer questions or comment further as it is now a legal case… #Gelato”
Recall that DJ Cuppy recently took to her social media account some months back to accuse Zlatan of blocking her on WhatsApp and Instagram.
She had said, “10 months later and I sometimes still wonder why Zlatan Ibile blocked me on WhatsApp and Instagram without ever saying why; we were actually friends and “Gelato” was a hit!”
Zlatan Ibile, who has maintained silence about Cuppy’s claim, had denied knowing the DJ when asked about his relationship with her during a recent interview.
